3Key Consulting Inc. is looking for role for an Engineer with 3 – 5 years’ experience in applying statistical/analytical techniques to develop and automate decision-making through analysis and visualization for global, CA-based, bio-pharmaceutical company.
Job Description:
The Digital Integration and Predictive Technologies (DIPT) team leads the development and deployment of statistical and mechanistic models, data integration tools, and advanced technologies throughout Amgen’s Process Development and Manufacturing organizations.  We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a passion for modeling, analytics, and technology to join our team. The successful candidate will be given opportunities to apply their expertise to enhance the way data is used to inform and make decisions at Amgen for the real-time process monitoring project. This may include, but is not limited to, the following:
  • Developing, enhancing, automating, and managing analytics models.
  • Creating striking visualizations to aid in data interpretation and usage.
  • Understanding business needs and developing novel yet practical solutions to meet those needs.
  • Demonstrating modeling and visualization approaches as part of proof-of-concept projects.
  • Exploring and evaluating new tools and techniques to improve the team’s capabilities.
  • Performing ad hoc data analysis for executive audiences.
Top Must-Have
  • Experience with variety of statistical/analytics techniques.
  • Development experience with at least one programming language.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, or other quantitative discipline.
Preferred Qualifications and Traits:
  • Passion for proactively identifying opportunities through creative data analysis and modeling
  • Intellectual curiosity with ability to learn new concepts/frameworks, algorithms and technology rapidly as needs arise
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to deliver work and provide positive leadership in a fast-paced, multi-project team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments.
  • Experience in the biotechnology industry is NOT required.
  • Experience processing, filtering, and presenting large quantities of data.
  • Experience with data visualization tools or packages, such as Tableau.
  • Experience with advanced statistical/analytical techniques.
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical software package.
  • Working knowledge of multiple programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, C++, MATLAB, or R.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
The team member will work on a variety of data analytics and modeling projects that may include the following:
  • Providing technical/analytical leadership on cross-functional project teams.
  • Developing models and visualizations to meet business needs.
  • Performing ad hoc data analyses.
  • Testing and evaluating new techniques and tools.
