Job Description:
This is an expert/lead-level job posting. Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Analyzes business partner’s operations to understand inputs, outputs, and processes, so that these may be improved with system solutions. Facilitates meeting discussions and keeps track of project activities. Translates and documents business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages the changes to put these requirements in place in a regulated environment. Develops required documentation and coordinates reviews and approvals using an electronic documentation system in accordance with prescribed standard operating procedures. Develops and maintains a Requirements Traceability Matrix that can be used to develop use cases and test scripts. Develops test plans and test scripts and may participate in testing. Works with developers to clarify requirements and to ensure efficient use of resources for the business team and the development team.

Job Duties:

Incumbent will work with business partners to map out processes that are candidates for implementing into the automated IT Service Catalog contained in the Service-Now service management system. Service Catalog items are “canned” requests for IT services that users can make, such as request for data restores, requests for provisioning IT setup for new hires, or requests for computer hardware/software. These requests may only require simple flows/activities or they may require complex flows that have multiple approvals and involve multiple resolvers in order to fulfill them. The incumbent will be scheduling and leading meetings with business partners and IT support staff, documenting actions, following up on items, and negotiating process changes due to technology or resource constraints.
The incumbent will document the requirements using client’s required templates in the EDMQ (Electronic Document Management system) and then route documents for review and approval. The requirements will be used by IT code developers to create changes in Service-Now, so there will be significant work with these developers.
As development progresses, the incumbent will write test scripts (client uses HP Quality Center 10.0 for this) and participate in the testing process according to SOP’s in place at client called for by regulatory requirements.
The incumbent will participate in change control processes at client in order to test and move the developed code into production.
The incumbent will spend considerable time in meetings due to the above activities.
The business driver is to enable users to easily “order” and receive timely IT services at optimal fulfillment cost. If users can order services on their own, they do not need to call the Service Desk and the orders can go quickly to the correct approvers/resolvers.

Critical Skills:

Able to gather, understand, and clearly document user requirements into requirement documents used by IT code developers. Not an entry level position.
Has excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Can clearly and simply map out and define process flows

Job Description:

Overall operational and strategic IT responsibility for Global Business Services - North American Division Print Output, Forms Development and Document Imaging Services.

Performs as the administrative and technical manager of assigned retained staff and contractors, primarily technical Subject Matter Experts, Systems Engineers and Developers.

Develop, communicate and drive Print Output Distribution and Corporate Imaging strategic roadmaps to improve current service offerings and develop new offerings for the organization.

Excellent technical skills including back end skills such as reviewing models, specifications etc., plus experience with the full lifecycle in order to relate to all facets of project.
