3 Key Consulting is hiring a Engineer for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company.
 
Job Description:
*Ideal candidate: Bilingual in English & Japanese, intern experience, experience with mechanical machine design is a plus
 
This position reports into the Container Science and Engineering department within Design and Development Group under Final Drug Product Technology in Thousand Oaks. This position involves support of senior staff in the initiation, design, and delivery of projects, particularly in primary container design, characterization, and qualification. Position requires the application of engineering principles to successfully perform the job functions. This role will leverage technical skills and the ability to coordinate and communicate across different functions to successfully complete projects.

Top Must-Have Skill Sets:
  • Strong mechanical engineering and material science knowledge.
  • Intron force testing, Keyence vision system testing, Stack up tolerance analysis, SolidWorks design.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
 
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Employ basic engineering skills and practices to gather user requirements and translate them into technical documentation for execution.
  • Assist with project definition by performing engineering studies and assessment for drug delivery systems.
  • Perform field evaluations of existing systems and provide engineering design recommendations.
  • Design and development of primary container systems.
  • Design and development of physical test methods with respect to container and combination product integration of drug delivery systems
  • Capable of machine design from initial conception through fabrication and into implementation.
  • Provide detailed data analysis to enable senior staff to make informed decisions.
  • Assist with project definition by performing engineering studies/assessments for device and container characterization/qualification in a GMP environment.
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Experience with Intron force testing, Keyence vision system testing, Stack up tolerance analysis, Solidworks design.
  • Strong team work, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • At least 1-3 years of work experience as an engineer in a laboratory setting.
  • Strong mechanical engineering and material science knowledge.
  • Experience with theoretical physics based modeling.
 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with computer programming in Matlab.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
