3 Key Consulting is hiring a Scientist Senior Associate
for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company.
This is a !00% lab based position.
The department of pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism (PKDM) within our client is dedicated to the discovery and development of novel effective, safe medicines. The successful candidate will work in a team environment to characterize the absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and pharmacokinetic properties of therapeutic drug candidates to achieve their full pharmacological potential. PKDM works in close partnership with disciplines such as medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacology and regulatory to design promising clinical therapeutic candidates, conduct preclinical development studies, support clinical evaluation, and contribute to IND and NDA filings.
The responsibilities of a PKDM Sr Associate Scientist are to develop and routinely employ bioanalytical methods for the quantitative and qualitative analysis of small molecules, in plasma, tissues, and other biological matrices. The role will require data interpretation and communication of results to project team representatives in support of drug discovery and development.
The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to execute experiments to quantitate molecular entities by mass spectrometry in support of both drug discovery and early development programs. This role requires an excellent understanding of bioanalytical techniques and an individual that can work collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment. The candidate will work as a member of the mass spectrometry group within PKDM and will be responsible for performing bioanalysis from sample preparation to data interpretation. The candidate should be able to assist in troubleshooting when instrument or assay problems arise. Other responsibilities will include basic biochemistry research, electronic laboratory notebook keeping and communication of results to project teams.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Able to quantify small molecules in biological matrices using LC-MS.
- Able to operate LC-MS and assist in troubleshooting when needed.
- Able to collaborate and work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Perform bioanalysis from sample preparation to data interpretation.
- Record lab work in electronic lab notebook and communicate results to project teams.
- Master’s degree with 3-5 years of experience.
- Pharmacokinetics & Drug Metabolism: Sr Associate Scientist.
- Experience on LC-MS – Requirement.
- Master’s degree with 3-5 years of experience
Candidates for PKDM- bioanalysis position will have MS in chemistry, biochemistry, or equivalent. Experience with operation, troubleshooting, and data interpretation of LC-MS is required. Experience with Watson LIMS is desired. The candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to excel in a highly collaborative, matrixed team environment.
