3 Key Consulting is hiring an EHSS Specialist for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company.

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced professional in the Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) group to lead safety and health programs at our Thousand Oaks location. The successful candidate will:
  • Be responsible for the continuous improvement of industrial safety programs across the Thousand Oaks campus
  • Provide expert level assessment support across the campus
  • Assist in developing and implementing a safety and health strategy across the Thousand Oaks campus

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with development, advancement and implementation of the safety and health programs and strategy across the Thousand Oaks campus.
  • Advancing core safety and health programs to manage EHSS risks primarily around industrial safety including:
    • Confined Space,
    • Hot Work,
    • Fall Protection,
    • LOTO,
    • Electrical Safety

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills; have a strong understanding of industrial safety principles and a proven track record in maturing programs and processes. The position requires the ability to collaborate cross functionally and to influence management across many functions.

  • Must be ok with working in the Field (Very hands on), onsite everyday

Basic Qualifications:
  • EHS bachelor’s degree & 5 years of experience in EHSS supporting safety and health programs
  • Strong understanding of Chemical and Biological manufacturing and laboratory operations.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Process driven with a strong Operational Excellence mindset
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, action oriented, self-starting, program development and project management
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software systems

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry leading industrial programs
  • Experience implementing and supporting safety and health programs
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and influence management
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate cross functionally.
