3 Key Consulting is hiring an Associate Scientist for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company.

Job Description:

Ideal Candidate - Drug discovery exp. Masters with demonstration/techniques, Academics in oncology research, exp. in biotech or pharma company. Publication records. Navigate in a cop environment.

soft skills- Communication Skills, comfortable working in a matrix environment, confident data analysis exp.

B.S. or M.S. degree & 3 YOE

Seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate Scientist to contribute to the discovery and validation of novel oncology targets. Specific responsibilities include independently planning and performing laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and communicating results in team meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Training in cancer biology or a related field with a background in cancer signaling pathways and the cell cycle.
  • A strong skillset with standard cell and molecular biology experimental design and techniques (e.g. cell culture, western blotting, qPCR, immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation, biochemical assays, flow cytometry, imaging, etc.).
  • Experience with modern techniques for assaying gene function (e.g. RNAi and CRISPR approaches) and high-content imaging required with some familiarity with multiOMICs and imaging feature analysis.
  • Experience in target identification and validation or supporting the early stages of drug discovery.
  • A track record of independent critical thinking and supported by publications.

Top Must-Have Skill Sets:
  1. background in cancer biology with cellular and molecular biology experience in the lab.
  2. Experience in biochemical assays, molecular biology, tissue culture, flow cytometry and imaging.
  3. Ability to design experiments and analyze data using various software tools (excel, graphpad, OMICs tools, imaging and facs analysis tools).
     
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Conduct wet lab experiments to support oncology drug discovery.
