3Key Consulting is looking for an Engineer with experience in Solidworks for a leading, international pharmaceutical company headquartered in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Job Summary:
  • Position involves support of senior staff in the initiation, design, and delivery of projects, particularly method development and experimental design.
  • Employ basic engineering skills and practices to gather user requirements and translate them into technical documentation for execution.
  • Assist with project definition by performing engineering studies and assessment for drug delivery systems.
  • Perform field evaluations of existing systems and provide engineering design recommendations.
  • Design and development of physical test methods with respect to container and combination product integration of drug delivery systems.
  • Capable of machine design from initial conception through fabrication and into implementation.
  • Skills: manufacturing experience, mechanical systems modeling, fabrication technique, fixture design experience, Solidworks, technical writing, strong communication skills.
 Top Must have Skill Sets:
1 Solidworks (CAD software) - the software that Amgen solely uses. Th candidate must have the basic knowledge. They take 3-D models of syringes or containers and develop fixtures to how to hold/use/operate the device
2. Technical writing - Prior experience following GMP procedures. This person needs to be able to communicate exactly what needs to be done. Knowledge of an electronic document control system
3. Basic mechanical experience - Mechanical Engineering background or bio-medical engineering background.
4. Fabrication/exterior design technical knowledge - ability to implement this understanding into their designs
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
Employ engineering skills and practices to develop test methods and designs for fixtures. Gather user requirements and translate them into technical documentation for execution. Perform field evaluations of existing systems and provide recommendations. Create documentation for execution of operators for GMP and non-GMP test methods. Communicate to senior staff and teams on design, initiation, test results, and recommendations for projects as necessary.
Why this position is open: Supplement additional workload on team. These two engineers wil be supporting Sr engineers to help take initial projects from baby steps to developing and designing a test method. They will gather user requirements and deliverables and not only explain what the customers wants but to be able to provide recommendations and present to customers.
