3 Key Consulting is hiring a Supply Chain Manager for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global bio-pharmaceutical company.
 
Job Summary:
The Manager, Supply Chain to be a part of our Global Raw Materials and Device (RMD) Supply Chain group. Global RMD Planning is a new function within External Planning & Delivery (EPD), Global Supply Chain, which main objective is to orchestrate network planning for select raw materials and devices in alignment with company planning cycle. The overall goals are to improve demand planning, increase forecast accuracy, generate cost savings thru optimized order management and scrap containment, as well as reduce order-to-receipt lead-time. The team closely partners with the Site Procurement departments within the Site Supply Chain organizations and the RMD organization within External Supply Manufacturing.
 
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Create planning and alternate BOM’s in support of early demand signals for select RMDs
  • Review network-wide master data and address issues with appropriate data owners to ensure accuracy and consistency across sites
  • Monitor adherence to network planning cycle across all Sites involved in planning for select RMD materials
  • Consolidate forecast to RMD Category Managers for submission to Suppliers
  • Measure and report on Forecast Accuracy performance in close partnership with Management, Site Supply Chain, and External Supply
  • Ensure timely and standard implementation of safety stock strategy across RMD categories
  • Generate reports to facilitate annual RMD standard cost setting process
  • Maintain excellent communication lines with all sources of demand and supply
  • Effectively engage key partners within supply chain, quality, finance, process development and other functional areas as needed
  • Understand how Global RMD Planning fits in company’s business process to provide development opportunities and continuous process improvement
  • Provide ad hoc reporting to support network
  • Develop and deliver reports and/or presentations
 
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree OR
Master’s degree and 2 years of experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain OR
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Life Science
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing or supply chain setting
  • Demonstrated experience in a continuous improvement role utilizing tools, methodologies and change management (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Demonstrated experience in forming-leading-facilitating-inspiring teams
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage diverse, global stakeholder groups and manage projects with multiple, cross-functional deliverables
  • Proven communication and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated experience in SAP and RapidResponse ERP environments
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, business acumen and risk management
  • Training and/or demonstrated experience in manufacturing systems 

     
Top Must have Skill Sets:
  • Planning Business Systems (SAP (required) and Rapid Response(preferred)
  • Raw Material and Device Site or Network Planning
  • Supplier Relationship Management
