3 Key Consulting is hiring an Associate Data Scientist for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company.

Job Description:

Some Pharma/Healthcare industry experience is a huge plus.  This ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to advance artificial intelligence and data analytics efforts by building machine learning models and supporting their implementation and deployment through collaborations with stakeholders.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Build machine learning models through integration of multiple data sources
  • Leverage large datasets to conduct end-to end analytics that include data gathering and requirements specifications, processing, analytics, and presentations
  • Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of people and teams. Work closely with subject matter experts to deliver value by developing novel, practical, scientific data-driven solutions to meet business needs
  • Execute External Supply (ES) technology roadmap effort based on client digital transformation strategy by connecting and integrating all operation data sources via Databricks for ES stakeholders
  • Partner with Information Systems (IS) to develop and execute External Supply Data & Analytics strategy including data and digital capabilities important to External Supply. This would include Product, Supplier, and Operations integrations (Operations Strategy & Risk Team).
  • Lead cross-functional teams within External Supply initiatives as needed. Proactively handle plans to achieve results with their teams
  • Partner with technical leads to identify key deliverables, ensure cross functional alignment, and execute plans.
  • Ensure teams active, aligned communication in functional and cross-functional management reviews and governance meetings.
  • Assist team in driving decision making and communication
  • Establish and manage collaboration and team sites. Track delivery and create repositories for all External Supply Data Strategy deliverables
  • Establish and report metrics
  • Facilitate and incorporate lessons learned, best practices, etc

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (mathematics, computer science, engineering, or other quantitative discipline)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of comprehensive set of data analytics and modeling methods, such as unsupervised (i.e. PCA, K-Means), supervised (i.e. PLS, tree-based algorithms and deep learning) approaches, and in their application to biotechnology processes
  • Familiarity working with large data sets, data mining and machine learning tools
  • Familiarity with various artificial intelligence applications
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL Programming Languages
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Independent, self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task in project environments, and skilled in communication, facilitation, and collaboration.
  • Team player, prepared to work in and embrace a team-based culture that relies on collaboration for effective decision-making
  • Familiarity with DevOps and good software practices (i.e. version control, continuous integration, test driven development)
