3 Key Consulting is hiring an Associate Scientist -Remote   for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global bio-pharmaceutical company.

Core job responsibilities include:
  • This position is for an associate scientist in the Materials Science group working under the guidance of a senior scientist.
  • The associate scientist will support a range of cross-functional activities to support chemical and excipient raw materials used for manufacturing biologic and small molecule therapies.
  • Represent the Materials Science function as a technical subject matter expert within process development in cross-functional teams with supplier quality management and supply chain.
  • Complete technical assessments of the impact of internal changes related to raw materials, as well as supplier changes to the raw material attributes and subsequent impact to the client processes and product.
  • Provide technical expertise for root cause investigations of raw material non-conformances, including evaluation of supplier technical documentation.
  • Support the onboarding of new raw materials by working with process development partners to create target attribute profiles for GMP raw materials to facilitate supplier selection and specification development.
  • Support raw material risk management by collecting technical information to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Engage with quality control and suppliers to gather information to assess raw material attribute data trends

    Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in chemistry or pharmacy / pharmaceutical sciences with at least 2 years of experience working in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry Or
  • Master of Science in chemistry or pharmacy / pharmaceutical sciences

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and function in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to perform data analysis and prepare technical documents

Top Must have Skill Sets:
  • Strong scientific knowledge (chemistry, pharmacy, biology etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Master’s degree or Bachelors with 2 YOE
