3 Key Consulting is hiring a Category Manager for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company.
Ideal Candidate: Well versed in strategic sourcing in tech environment IT sources and Telecom, Negotiation and contracting expertise. Great interpersonal/ influencing skills with ability to manage up. Systems Experience: Ariba SAP and Scout
Job Description:
Responsible for managing sourcing processes focused on Corporate Services categories that may include Legal, Human Resources, Risk Management, Financial Services and Management Consultants.
In addition, will also support the development and implementation of sourcing and category management strategies across all other client’s sites.
Responsibilities include:
Seeking 5 or more years of experience. Business degree/MBA or candidates with a science/lab background who have similar work experience.
Skills:
sourcing/procurement experience; statistical analysis; excellent communication skills; ability to work with and lead a team

Job Description:

Responsibilities include:
- Leading the industry analysis to identify size of industry, leading players, and specific industry characteristics
- Conducting client requirement analysis to understand clients' procurement needs
- Influence suppliers and stimulate innovation, process improvement, and cost management
- Developing a comprehensive category strategy based on customer and industry analyses and developing contracts with new suppliers or renegotiating existing contracts
- Lead the contract negotiation process and achieve best value for the client by:
1) leading the appropriate sourcing process for new and existing business requirements;
2) defining and executing the contract negotiation strategy; and follow-on contract management;
3) leading the contract implementation and the identification of opportunities for expanded supplier relationships to enhance the business partnerships. ;

Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Manage and amend CW
- Approve PO post review and due diligence
- Follow process and protocols for sourcing
- Partner with business to source items; communicate process and policies to business partner
- Review and negotiate contracts and submit for approval
- Create contract work space and relevant documents in Ariba or scout to meet compliance.
- Route for approval.
- Work with suppliers to overcome material shortages
- Closely work with business/client to deliver to their needs
- Strong analytics and strategic thinking
- Support different initiatives that lead to improved productivity for the categories.
- Minimize complexity in the category.
