3 Key Consulting is hiring a Sourcing Excellence Manager for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company.

Job Description:
Our client is searching for a Senior Associate, Sourcing Excellence, who will be responsible for helping execute the sourcing processes across a variety of categories as part of the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) department. The Senior Associate will report to the Senior Manager Sourcing Excellence and will work out of the client’s Capability Center located in Tampa, Florida.  Primary responsibilities include the following:
 
  • Executing Global/Regional Sourcing Strategies
  • Constantly align and agree on priorities with appropriate global and regional category managers (GCM/RCM)
  • Support supplier analysis and market intelligence activities
  • Manage Request for Proposal and Quotation processes (eRFX)
  • Consistently document and guide sourcing execution in designated tools
  • Ensure sourcing tactics drive value in specific functional business environments, including legal & regulatory context
  • Delivering Value for Customers
  • Understand business goals and interpret customer needs to identify potential opportunities
  • Partner with colleagues in various business areas as appropriate
  • Managing Contracts
  • Ensure client’s contract policies are followed, compliance metrics are met or exceeded
  • Inform stakeholders on client’s contracting policies and procedures, providing support and corrective actions where required
  • Lead contracting activities including selecting appropriate contract templates and effectively negotiating legal and business terms
  • Provide ongoing contract management (incl. renewal and renegotiation of existing and expiring contracts)

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Sourcing, Contracting, and/or Project Management experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 6 years of Sourcing, Contracting, and/or Project Management experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Sourcing, Contracting, and/or Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Combination of: Sourcing, Contracting, and/or Project Management
  • Broad knowledge of the market forces shaping a customer’s business context (e.g. supplier base, legal & regulatory environment, sources of competitive advantage)
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and utilizing full set of sourcing levers to drive value for customers
  • Demonstrated success developing sourcing and contracting strategies for each engagement
  • Analytical & Technical
  • Ability to influence to drive desired results
  • Ability to analyze, summarize, and present insights based on the needs of the audience
  • Change Management
  • Independent self-starter with an interest in or working understanding of broad business functions
  • Demonstrated track record of identifying root causes to issues and proactively problem solving
  • Demonstrated success in partnering cross-functionally
  • Ability to own and strengthen relationships with key users
  • Compelling and persuasive communicator (oral and written) with excellent interpersonal skills

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Rotational program and a part of talent pool development for GSS. This team member will be working through specific verticals for a defined period of time supporting overflow and addressing unrealized value, but also looking through opportunities for process efficiencies. The support per vertical will be for a defined period of time allowing for the team member to learn a specific area and then move on to rendering support in the next vertical for a defined time period.
