3 Key Consulting is hiring a Lab Manager for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company.
Job Description: Local candidate to CA. The ideal candidate would possess:
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
GMP (or GLP) experience and familiarity working with regulated documents.
Experience entering, reviewing and verifying data in regulated systems.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail; excellent project management skills including the ability to manage project resource requirements, and ability to elevate relevant issues to project lead and line-management.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
Ability to participate in global cross-functional teams and work effectively in a highly matrixed team environment.
Prior experience working with Maximo and Electronic Notebook systems is preferred.

Prior lab management experience.
Familiar with safety compliance.
Experience with inventory and Organizing the lab and tiny up the lab according to 5S experience preferred.
Day to Day Responsibilities: Lab Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Management of equipment; maintain inventory, enter and track work orders, work with maintenance and vendors for equipment repair.
Maintain list of active assets including equipment information, equipment procedures, calibration and preventive maintenance records, scheduling, etc.
Assist/coordinate new equipment procurement and installation.
Help ensure general tidiness of facility and adherence to 5S principles.
Act as Lab Safety Officer to ensure laboratory safety and EH&S compliance.
Organize regularly scheduled lab cleanout activities.
Order and organize laboratory reagents and consumables.
Review freezer and refrigerator alarm data and resolve temperature excursion issues as they arise and serving as point-of-contact when alarms go off to triage and resolve.
Handle incoming/outgoing shipments of biological samples.
Author, review, and data verify technical documents.
Ensure compliance with SOPs and policies.
B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or related degree.
At least 2-3 years in a related scientific field.
